This is a regional free-speech program comprized of five Southeast European countries. Its goal is to improve legislation that guarantees public access to information and protects journalists from libel. CIJ and APADOR-CH are the Romanian partners in the program, which is coordinated by Article XIX (London) and financed by the European Comission. CIJ and APADOR-CH recently helped produce a draft of new free speech law for Romania and then presented it to the Art, Culture and Information Comission of the Deputy Chamber of Parliament.
