CIJ offers young journalists specialized training through programs that target high school and university students who are recruited through summer schools or regular CIJ courses. Students in both programs produce and edit their own publications: "JAP" (Jurnalisti Activi Profesionisti), produced by the high school students and "DIRECT - LINIE STUDENTEASCA," an on-line magazine edited and produced by the university students. Summer school programs have been offered throughout in country in communities such as Bucharest, Sibiu, Eforie Sud and Cluj.
